Buncombe County Animal Control

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of animal control for Buncombe County outside municipal limits. They can be reached at 253-1195. The Asheville Humane Society manages the Buncombe County Animal Shelter.

Beginning in October, 2007 the office began conducting community meetings to talk about animal control - restraint, vaccinations, spay/neuter and animal care.  These meetings are held at the fire depts around the county.  Call 253-1195 or email helen.hall@buncombecounty.org for more information.
